She's got a bitter pill for you to swallow and you just might like it. The Outlet would like to introduce you to Fritz, our newest regular contributor. Her column, Life and Spite, is a monthly journey into the ugly realities of life. It may be sweeter on the sunny side of the street, but it's a hell of a lot funnier on Fritz's block. Bio: Fritz is a frustrated writer and a frustrated woman. She still smokes and is a passionate advocate for fellow smokers. Mostly, she's planning her next diatribe or her next knitting project. She lives and works in the Detroit Metro area, but she dreams in red. Her home includes one saintly husband and one demonic cat.
Tales From the Classroom
TFTC is a regular series on education at The Outlet. To get a closer look at the state of education in our country, we asked Teach, a U.S. and World History teacher at an alternative high school in New York City, to chronicle her first year in the classroom for us. Her reports are illuminating, wickedly funny and at times, heartbreaking. The questions she poses are real and the answers aren't simple.

Why Advertise?
The Outlet is an independent project initiated by the Liquid Words Production team. It grew out of our need for a community of conscious, active, inspired people. We wanted to seek and hear different perspectives, new ideas, and find people who wanted the same. With this blog, we hope to build a community of people who can draw inspiration and support from one another.
The Outlet is a dynamic project with a large following, but limited financial resources. Our goal is to provide writers, other artists, and businesses an outlet to express ideas, gain visibility and exposure, and a safe space to express different perspectives.
We collectively believe artists should be paid for their work. While we have discontinued the small payment for contributions, we are now offering advertising options in the hopes of creating a source of revenue to fund contributions in the future.
Therefore, we are now offering advertising space, blogads, donation options, and possibly Google ads. In doing so, we won't compromise the initial goals of the blog, and remain committed to the artistic vision.
